The Toronto Raptors are currently enjoying a 13-day stretch when they play just three games, giving the team an opportunity to rest some of their banged up players.

Head coach Dwane Casey told reporters DeMar DeRozan was held out of practice Monday after bumping his knee late in the team’s 112-78 win over the Atlanta Hawks Saturday.

When asked if the 13-day stretch would allow the team to experiment with different lineups, Casey said they already had to help their injured player.

“We can do that and we did do that out of necessity more than anything else with DeMar out,” Casey said. “He didn’t go today because (we are) watching his knee.”

DeRozan is leading the team in points per game with 22.9 and is also averaging 4.6 assists per game and 4.3 rebounds per game.

DeRozan also told reporters CJ Miles had returned to practice after missing two games for the birth of his daughter.
