WINNIPEG — Dan DeSalvo struck twice in the third period and Ondrej Pavelec made 31 saves as the Manitoba Moose edged the Texas Stars 5-4 on Sunday in American Hockey League action.
Jack Roslovic, Patrice Cormier and Jimmy Lodge scored in the first period for Manitoba (10-8-2), the farm club of the Winnipeg Jets.
Travis Morin led the Stars (11-7-2) with two goals and an assist. Matej Stransky and Dustin Stevenson also chipped in for Dallas's AHL affiliate. Maxime Lagace turned away 26 shots.
The Moose were 2 for 3 on the power play while Texas scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
