DAVIE, Fla. — Miami Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso has undergone surgery to repair a broken right thumb, but coach Adam Gase says he may be available to play Sunday against Arizona.
Alonso was hurt in Sunday's 38-6 loss at Baltimore. He left the game but returned playing with a cast.
Alonso, who leads Miami with 59 tackles and four fumble recoveries, has also been slowed by a sore hamstring. The Dolphins' injury-hampered defence has allowed 475 and 496 yards in the past two games.
