Josh Donaldson will not start for the Blue Jays as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday in the home opener. Ryan Goins will play third base. There is no word on when Donaldson will return.

Donaldson was removed from Sunday’s game with right calf tightness after running down the first base line to try and beat out a ground ball. Donaldson also missed a large portion of spring training with a calf injury.

Jose Bautista will bat second the lineup to replace Donaldson, with Kendrys Morales and Troy Tulowitzki moving up to the number three and four spots, respectively.

So far this season, Donaldson is batting .348 with two home runs, three runs batted in and an OPS of 1.097.

The Jays also activated closer Roberto Osuna off the 10-day disabled list and optioned reliever Casey Lawrence to Buffalo.

He was placed on the DL retroactive to April 1, causing him to miss six games after dealing with cervical spams.

Lawrence made his major league debut Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays, where he walked in the winning run after an impressive strikeout of Evan Longoria.

J.A. Happ will take the hill for the Blue Jays against Milwaukee's Wily Peralta. The Jays have lost five home openers in a row.
