Josh Donaldson will bat third as the designated hitter for Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Darwin Barney will play third base in place of Donaldson, while Kendrys Morales will make his first start of the season at first base.

Donaldson did not start for the Blue Jays Monday night, but did pinch-hit for Ryan Goins in the ninth inning. He struck out on a 3-2 breaking ball from Neftali Feliz while representing the tying run.

The 2015 MVP was removed from Saturday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays with calf tightness, the same calf that caused him to miss time in spring training.

So far this season, Donaldson is batting .333 with two home runs, three runs batted in and an OPS of 1.054.

The 1-6 Blue Jays are looking to turn things around tonight. Marcus Stroman gets the ball for Toronto, countered by Chase Anderson.
