Canucks winger Derek Dorsett has gone back to Vancouver to deal with stiffness in his back/neck region, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old had a cervical fusion procedure last season, but made a full recovery in the off-season to be ready to play in 2017-18.

In a statement, the Canucks, who are in Philadelphia to face the Flyers Tuesday night to start a four-game road trip, say Dorsett is dealing with stiffness and will be examined by a specialist for precautionary reasons.

He has seven goals and two assists over 20 games this season in Vancouver.
