Dowell scores winner, Bulldogs topple Flames
Jake Dowell scored a tiebreaking goal midway through the third period and the Hamilton Bulldogs held on to edge the Adirondak Flames 2-1 in American Hockey League action on Wednesday. T.J. Hensick also scored for Hamilton (31-25-10), which snapped a three-game winless skid.

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - Jake Dowell scored a tiebreaking goal midway through the third period and the Hamilton Bulldogs held on to edge the Adirondak Flames 2-1 in American Hockey League action on Wednesday.
T.J. Hensick also scored for Hamilton (31-25-10), which snapped a three-game winless skid.
Ben Hanowski replied for the Flames (31-25-8).
Bulldogs goalie Mike Condon made 29 saves for the victory. Adirondack's Brad Thiessen stopped 24 shots.
Neither team scored on the power play. Hamilton was 0 for 2 while the Flames squandered five chances on the man advantage.
