Scouting Report
International Scouting Services: "One of the youngest players available for the draft. Dumoulin impressed scouts with his play at the National Select 17 Festival, and by playing for Team USA at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament. He is an excellent skater with a great stride. Not really a physical D-man. Very good ice awareness. Has to get a bit more consistent in his own zone but has great potential. Enjoyed a fine season with the Monarchs scoring 7 goals and tallying 30 points in 41 games."

Scouting Report
International Scouting Services: "Native of Maple Grove, MN has good size and solid frame. Birkholz enjoyed a fine rookie season in the USHL with Fargo Force. In 55 games, the forward scored 21 goals and 15 assists for a total of 36 points. He is a good skater with tremendous speed and is at his best when playing physical and finishing checks – does a good job of getting in on the opposition d-men, taking away time and space to make a play. Has a good shot but could use it more often. Passes are crisp. Was a member of the gold-medal winning U.S. team at the World Junior A challenge in Camrose, Alberta. He does a good job of cycling puck during offensive zone play. Has verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota for 09/10."

53. CODY EAKIN

Rank: 53 64 46 49 46 29 NAS
Scouting Report
Swift Current coach and GM Dean Chynoweth: "Cody is a tremendous skater and a lot of the things he does come from his skating ability. He's also ultra-competitive, and where he has a lot of success is getting in on the forecheck and chasing and racing for loose pucks. He also uses his speed a lot with the puck on the entries into the offensive zone. His speed also helps him in the defensive zone by catching guys from behind and creating turnovers in situations where guys who don't skate as well wouldn't be able to do. He beats a lot of guys to the outside and that's because of his skating ability."

54. BRAYDEN McNABB

Scouting Ranking
Org: TSN THN ISS RLR McK CS
Rank: 54 54 43 66 60 51 NAS
Scouting Report
International Scouting Services: "McNabb could be this year's poor version of Cowan. Plays in all situations for the Ice and logs a lot of ice time on a d-core that is very young. McNabb was fresh off a great rookie season when he helped Canada's U18 team win gold at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Slovakia last summer. He has great vision and moves the puck tape to tape. Has good mobility for a man his size. Needs to develop more of a mean streak and make competitors pay the price for being in front of his net. Will naturally get stronger. He knows when to jump up in the rush. A player that earned his draft position as the year went on. His big question is his grit and willingness to pay the price at times."

55. KYLE CLIFFORD

Rank: 55 - 104 50 102 182 NAS
Scouting Report
International Scouting Services: Barrie's 2nd Round Pick, 37th Overall in the 2007 OHL Draft, Clifford is a straight ahead player with an edge. Skating is just OK – has heavy feet and needs to make sure he keeps his feet moving to get speed – skating has shown improvement over the season. If straight pass in not available does nice job of advancing pucks. During offensive plays and cycles makes it very difficult for D to contain him with his good size and strength. Responsible in D zone making strong plays getting pucks out. Plays physical style of game looking to finish hits and make contacts."

Scouting Report
NHL Central Scouting's Gary Eggleston: "Mac is a very strong skater with good acceleration and overall speed. He has very good lateral mobility and moves his feet quickly. He can lead the rush and moves the puck quickly from his own end. He has a very strong shot from the point. He is a very good passer. He runs the power play and distributes the puck well. His defensive zone play is very good. He is quick to gain and maintain control of the puck and moves it out quickly."
Hotchkiss head coach Damon White: "I first saw Mac as an eighth grader competing in a bantam tournament at the Berkshire School and you could tell right away that he was the smartest player on the ice. He had terrific vision, could pass the puck very well and made very good decisions. He's a tough kid in the sense that he never shies away. He's not afraid to go into the corner with anybody; he's comfortable in dark places. He's got tremendous passion for the game and works his tail off in the weight room."

57. JAKOB SILFVERBERG

Scouting Notes
International Scouting Services: "Silfverberg loves to compete and shows the grit that any coach would want for his team. Good offensive instincts and patience with the puck. Competes hard in every key zone and on every shift. He possesses good technical skills and a strong concept of tactical play. Defensively, he is intelligent and great at picking pockets of opponents and launching counter-attacks with tremendous quickness. Strong two-way forward who can provide depth, energy or shutdown ability."

58. ALEX HUTCHINGS

Org: TSN THN ISS RLR McK CS
Rank: 58 48 61 43 74 44 NAS
Scouting Report
International Scouting Services: "Hutchings finished 3rd in voting for Best Skater in OHL Eastern Conference Coaches Poll. Displays good puck skills in the offensive zone – knows when to hold on to it and when to pass to others in better position. Lack of strength is evident during 1 on 1 battles against bigger defenders. Has speed and skill required to take puck wide and beat defender off the rush. He has improved his offence totals in each of his 3 seasons in the OHL. During some games he is very quiet, then all of the sudden turn it on and become a real force."

59. MATT CLARK

Scouting Ranking
Org: TSN THN ISS RLR McK CS
Rank: 78 - 90 74 87 31 NAS
Scouting Report
International Scouting Services: "Clark is a steady d-man who generally plays a simple, safe game. Good sized defensive d-man who plays with a physical presence. Although his offensive output will never be very high, he certainly has the tools to become a steady defender that understands his limitations and plays to his strengths. Moves the puck up ice quickly and effectively with good first pass. Shows good anticipation of the play and finishes a lot of checks - plays physical in his own end without running around."

60. RYAN BOURQUE

Scouting Report
U.S. National Team Development Program head coach Ron Rolston: "He plays with a lot of energy and he has got great speed. He's made a lot happen with speed. He plays with a lot of tenacity. He's finished a lot of plays off and gotten to those areas and made nice plays around the net against older players . . . in terms of effectiveness of a player, he's got the ability."
