The Top 10

T1. Sean Couturier

Centre - Drummondville (QMJHL)
Born: 12/07/92, Bathurst, NB
6-3, 185 lbs.

Quick Notes: Couturier won the Jean Beliveau Trophy as the scoring champion of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Drummondville Voltigeurs last season with 41 goals and 55 assists in 68 games.

T1. Adam Larsson

Defenceman - Skelleftea (SEL)
Born: 11/12/92, Skelleftea, SWE
6-3, 220 lbs.

Quick Notes: Larsson scored two goals and three points in five games at the World Under-18s in April and was named the best defenceman at the tournament.

3. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

Centre - Red Deer (WHL)
Born: 04/12/93, Burnaby, BC
6-0, 160 lbs.

Quick Notes: Nugent-Hopkins had 24 goals and 65 points in 67 games last season and scored the game-winning goal in Canada's win over the U.S. at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial final.

T4. Gabriel Landeskog

Right Wing - Kitchener (OHL)
Born: 11/23/92, Stockholm, SWE
6-0, 201 lbs.

Quick Notes: In his first season with Kitchener, Landeskog was third among OHL rookies with 24 goals and 46 points. He also led all rookies in playoff scoring with 23 points.

T4. Brandon Saad

Left Wing - Saginaw (OHL)
Born: 10/27/92, Gibsonia, PA
6-2, 200 lbs.

Quick Notes: Saad scored 12 goals and 26 points in 24 games with the USNTDP U-18 team last season and has joined the OHL's Saginaw Spirit for 2010-11.

6. Victor Rask

Centre - Leksand (SWE-1)
Born: 03/01/93, Leksand, Sweden
6-2, 193 lbs.

Quick Notes: Rask played last season with Leksand at the Under-20 level, scoring 22 goals and 41 points in 39 games.

7. Matt Puempel

Left Wing - Peterborough (OHL)
Born: 01/24/93, Essex, ON
6-0, 190 lbs.

Quick Notes: Puempel was named OHL Rookie of the Year last season, leading all rookies in scoring with 64 points in 59 games.

8. Dougie Hamilton

Defenceman - Niagara (OHL)
Born: 06/17/93, Toronto, ON
6-3, 180 lbs.

Quick Notes: Hamilton was named to the OHL's Second All-Rookie Team last season and also won the Ivan Tennant Award as the league's top academic high school student.

9. Adam Clendening

Defenceman - Boston University
Born: 10/26/92, Wheatfield, NY
5-11, 190 lbs.

Quick Notes: Clendening helped the U.S. win back-to-back gold at the World Under-18 Championship and was named to the all-tournament team.

10. Seth Ambroz

Centre - Omaha Lancers (USHL)
Born: 04/01/93, New Prague, MN
6-3, 198 lbs.

Quick Notes: Arriving in Omaha from New Prague High School in Minnesota in 2009, Ambroz scored 22 goals and 47 points and 116 penalty minutes in 54 games last season.

Honourable Mentions

McKenzie: It should be noted that as many as six more prospects were on the verge of cracking the Top 10. These players were just edged out but voting was so tight, it's reasonable to assume they will challenge the players who were ranked sixth through tenth for a spot into the Top 10.
