Leon Draisaitl is sticking around in Edmonton.

The 19-year-old rookie will play his 10th game of the season against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night. Had Draisaitl been sent back to his junior club after playing nine games or less, the first year of his rookie deal would have been preserved to next season.

Draisaitl had 38 goals and 105 points last year for the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League.

The third-overall pick has been solid for the Oilers in the early going this season, recording a goal and two assists in nine games.
