With the worst record in the Western Conference and a 2-7-1 record over their last 10 games, it appears the Edmonton Oilers will stop at nothing to land a top centre.

Sources with Eastern Conference teams have told TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger that Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish is "very eager" to land a centre, with one source going so far as to say, "no one is off limits."

Dreger, who adds this approach is the normal procedure to get trade talks going, reported on Sunday that winger David Perron among the names who could be dealt to land that top line centre.

Perron, who has two years left on his current contract, has two goals and eight assists in 21 games this season with the Oilers, his second year with the team.
