The injury bug that has bitten the Saskatchewan Roughriders during training camp has not gone away.

According to head coach Corey Chamblin, slotback Weston Dressler and safety Tyron Brackenridge will not play against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Saturday's season opener.

Dressler, who missed part of training camp due to injury, played in Friday's preseason finale.

Brackenridge has been dealing with a lower body injury throughout training camp and did not play in either preseason game.

Brackenridge, a CFL All-Star at safety each of the last two seasons, started all 18 regular-season games for the Riders last season and the Western Semi-Final.

The 30-year-old had three interceptions in 2014, in addition to 64 tackles and two sacks,

Dressler started nine games for the Riders last season, as well as their lone playoff game. He caught 27 passes for 320 yards and one touchdown.

The receiver, who is also 30, was a CFL All-Star in both 2012 and 2013 and has five 1,000-yard seasons in the past seven years.
