The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a one-year extension with running back Darren Sproles worth $4.5 million according to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The 33 year-old has been with the team since 2014. Last year he put up 318 rushing yards, 388 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He enters training camp as the team’s No. 1 tailback on the depth chart under new head coach Doug Pederson.

In 2011 with the New Orleans Saints, the 5’6 back set an NFL record with 2,696 all-purpose yards in a season.

Since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, the Kansas State product compiled 2,687 rushing yards, 4,156 receiving yards and 48 touchdowns with the Chargers, Saints and Eagles.
