Toronto Blue Jays slugger Edwin Encarnacion says he’s ready to start the season with the club.

The 33-year-old had a delayed start to Spring Training after dealing with both an abscessed tooth and an oblique strain but told the media on Thursday that he’s good to go for Opening Day.

Encarnacion went 0-5 with a walk in Thursday’s minor league game.

The Dominican Republic native will become a free agent at the end of the season and is coming off one of the best offensive campaigns of his career where he hit 39 homers and collected 111 RBIs to help lead the Jays into the playoffs.
