Chicago Bears

New head coach Marc Trestman's offence will look to move the ball through the air often and Chicago's 2013 schedule will help them accomplish that goal. WR Brandon Marshall, WR Alshon Jeffery and their latest addition TE Martellus Bennett will take advantage of some of the weaker secondaries in the league this season. With Trestman on the sidelines and this schedule, QB Jay Cutler is an intriguing QB2 option in fantasy, assuming the changes to their offensive line turn out to be upgrades.

Detroit Lions

After making the playoffs in 2011, the Lions took a step back last season. RB Reggie Bush will fit perfectly in Detroit as a backfield receiving threat that only makes their passing attack more explosive. The Lions have shown an ability to put up fantasy points through the air on any defence, even it means playing to the final whistle in garbage time. The real worry for the Lions should be keeping QB Matthew Stafford healthy with a questionable line and a schedule filled with teams that can create pressure.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers get to open the year with two fan-friendly matchups against the 49ers and Redskins. Stopping rushing quarterbacks proved to be a challenge for Green Bay in the playoffs, so that will be priority number one in those games. QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are poised to return to the post-season and their schedule should facilitate that, especially with the addition of RB Eddie Lacy, and a receiving corps that features WR Jordy Nelson, WR Randall Cobb, WR James Jones, and TE Jermichael Finley.

Minnesota Vikings

Technically, the Vikings start the year with three of their first four on the road because of their Week 4 game in London with the Steelers. Minnesota is built to handle a stretch like this with the best rusher in football RB Adrian Peterson carrying the load for their offence against any front. The real test this season will be for QB Christian Ponder, who will have to face the Seahawks, Bears, Ravens, and Bengals defences down the stretch. WR Greg Jennings fantasy success rides on whether Ponder can take the leap.
