The Collegiate StarLeague has announced the finalists for the 2017 North American Collegiate Grand Finals coming to Toronto in May.

Hundreds of teams battled for a place in the finals and 16 qualifiers across four titles have earned the right to compete for over $100,000 in scholarships at the Scotiabank Theatre in downtown Toronto from May 12-14.

“This is the largest collegiate esports event of the year and we’re thrilled to be hosting it in Toronto,” CEO of event host WorldGaming Wim Stocks said in a press release. “Canada overall has a huge appetite for live esports events, and it’s an honour to have the best collegiate esports teams here vying for the international championships for their schools, as well as scholarships for themselves. Partnering with Cineplex to host the finals will also make this event our biggest to date for fans and players.”

More than 900 colleges and universities across North America competed this season.

The participants for the Grand Finals are:

Counter Strike: Global Offensive  University of California Irvine, University of British Columbia, University of California Los Angeles and CUNY Baruch

Dota 2  University of Connecticut, California State University Long Beach, University of California Davis and University of British Columbia

StarCraft II — of Waterloo, University of Montreal, University of Connecticut, and Temple University

League of Legends Invitational — University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, McMaster University and the University of Toronto
