The Calgary Flames have traded left wing Curtis Glencross to the Washington Capitals in exchange for second- and third-round picks in the 2015 NHL Draft.

In 53 games with the Flames this season, Glencross has scored nine goals and 19 assists.

The 32-year-old is in the final year of a four-year contract he signed with the Flames prior to the 2011-2012 season worth an average annual value of $2.55 million.

He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in 2004. He has appeared in 489 career NHL games with the Flames, Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Edmonton Oilers, scoring 130 goals and 138 assists.
