The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Tuesday that they will be without the services of forward Wayne Simmonds for up to three weeks with an upper-body injury, while goaltender Michal Neuvirth is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks with a lower-body injury.

Simmonds, 29, has appeared in 59 games for the Flyers this season scoring 20 goals and adding 17 assists. This is the Scarborough, Ont. native's fifth straight campaign with 20 or more goals. Simmonds is fifth in the NHL in power-play goals with 10.

Neuvirth, 29, picked up his injury during the team's game with the New York Rangers on Sunday in which he was forced to exit early with Alex Lyon relieving him to pick up his first career NHL win. The Flyers acquired goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night and he was at the team's morning skate on Tuesday alongside Lyon.

A native of Usti Nad Labem, Czech Republic, Neuvirth is 8-7-3 this season for the Flyers with a goals against average of 2.61 and a .915 save percentage. He is in his third season with the Flyers and 11th in the NHL.

The Flyers currently sit third in the Metropolitan Division and play host to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday evening.
