The betting odds favour Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf and Pittsburgh Penguins centre Evgeni Malkin to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.

After two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, both are listed by Bovada as 5-1 favourites to be named the most valuable player to his team during the playoffs.

Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne sits just behind Getzlaf and Malkin with 11-2 odds.

Ottawa Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson is fourth with 13-2 odds, while the Penguins' Sidney Crosby and Marc-Andre Fleury tie to round out the top five with 15-2 odds.

Malkin won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2009.

Malkin (five goals, 13 assists) leads all players in scoring during the postseason with 18 points through 12 games - an average of 1.5 points per game. Getzlaf sits second in points among players remaining in the playoffs with 15 through 11 games (1.36 per game). He's averaged 23:55 of time on ice per game, well above Malkin's 18:50 and has dominated in at the faceoff dot, with a 54.6 winning percentage - Malkin sits at 50.4 per cent.

Rinne has dominated in the postseason, posting an 8-2 record through two rounds with a stunning .951 save percentage and 1.37 goals against average. He owned a career .912 save percentage with one shutout in 48 playoffs entering this postseason. He's posted two shutouts, back-to-back to open the Predators first-round series against the Blackhawks, in these playoffs.

No player has spent more time on ice in the playoffs than Karlsson, who's averaging 28:56 per game in the playoffs. Karlsson leads the Senators in points (13), assists (11) and plus/minus (8) in the postseason. His 1.08 points per game mark is the highest among all defencemen (minimum 10 games) since the 2004-05 lockout.

Karlsson's odds are likely hurt by the Senators' odds of winning the Stanley Cup. The Senators are listed by Bovada as the biggest underdog among the remaining four teams to win the Cup, at 11-2. The Penguins own the best odds at 8-5, followed by both the Ducks and Predators at 11-4.

Crosby sits tied for second on the Penguins and third in the league in scoring with 14 points through 11 games. He has posted a 52.5 winning percentage in the faceoff dot.

Fleury, who drew the surprise start in Game 1 of the Penguins' first round series against the Columbus Blue Jackets when Matt Murray was injured, sits second among the remaining goaltenders with a .927 save percentage. His goals against average sits just above that of Senators netminder Craig Anderson, at 2.55.
