Gibson, Marlies extend win streak to six
Christopher Gibson made 40 saves as the Toronto Marlies extended their win streak to six games with a 3-1 victory against the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday in American Hockey League action. William Nylander had a goal and an assist for the Marlies (39-27-9) while Connor Brown and Byron Froese added a goal apiece.

Tanner Kero ended Gibson's shutout bid when he scored for the IceHogs (46-23-7) at 19:54 of the third period.
Rockford's Mac Carruth stopped 14-of-17 shots in a losing cause.
