Goaltender Szabados picks up first win in men's pro league
Goaltender Shannon Szabados has earned her first win in the Southern Professional Hockey League. She made 34 saves for the Columbus Cottonmouths in a 5-4 overtime win over the Fayetteville FireAntz on Friday.

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Goaltender Shannon Szabados has earned her first win in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
She made 34 saves for the Columbus Cottonmouths in a 5-4 overtime win over the Fayetteville FireAntz on Friday.
It was also the first win of the season for Columbus (1-8).
Szabados backstopped the Canadian women's hockey team to Olympic gold in both 2010 and 2014.
The 28-year-old from Edmonton signed with Columbus late last season and went 0-2 in her starts.
Szabados re-signed with the Cottonmouths in the off-season and was 0-2 prior to Friday's win.
