STOUFFVILLE, Ont. -- Victoria's Jim Rutledge captured his second straight PGA Seniors' Championship of Canada title on Friday after shooting a 3-under 69 on the tournament's final day.

Rutledge's three-day total of 17 under (65-65-69) matches his own tournament record from 2010.

Rutledge led the pack from start to finish, ending 13 shots ahead of Yvan Beauchemin of Louisville, Que., and Norm Jarvis of Prince Albert, Sask., who tied for second at 4 under.

"I played some real good golf the last three days and I'm proud of myself," Rutledge said in a statement. "I was trying to beat my own record of a couple years ago, but I tied it and that's OK."

Rutledge shot 16 birdies, one eagle and one bogey during the tournament. With the victory, he claims the Albert Murray Trophy and first-place prize of $9,000.

Rutledge finished was tied for 33rd at the U.S. Seniors Open last week but said he's looking for a better result at the Senior Open Championship in Scotland next weekend.
