It appears Georges St-Pierre is nearly ready to make his return to the octagon. The Canadian mixed martial arts star took to social media Friday to call out reigning UFC middleweight champion and future opponent Michael Bisping.

The 35-year-old St-Pierre has not fought in the UFC since November 16, 2013 when he defeated Johny Hendricks in a controversial split decision. He then announced he would voluntarily vacate the welterweight title in December of 2013, stating that he needed to take some time off.

In June of 2016, St-Pierre announced that he had entered USADA testing and was in the process of renegotiating his contract with the UFC. After months of negotiations the UFC announced on Feb. 15 that they had agreed to terms on a multi-fight contract with the Saint-Isidore, Que., native.

This past March, UFC president Dana White confirmed that St-Pierre would face Bisping “in the second half of 2017.”

The two took part in a press conference hyping the fight in Las Vegas in March, but no firm date for the bout was announced.

It's on!

St-Pierre and Bisping were originally scheduled to face each other at UFC 206 in Toronto in December of 2016, however the two sides were unable to agree on contract terms in time.
