Montreal Canadiens veteran defenceman Shea Weber will miss at least the next two games with a lower-body injury and will fly back to Montreal to meet with doctors, head coach Claude Julien announced on Monday.

Weber logged nearly 23 minutes of action in the Habs' last game, a 2-1 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.

The 31-year-old, who was acquired this off-season from the Nashville Predators, has netted 17 goals and 25 assists over 78 games this season.

The Habs are in Florida Monday to play the Panthers and have a road date with the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.
