Goalie Mike Smith has been sent back to Arizona to consult with team doctors after he suffered a lower-body injury in the third period Tuesday night in a loss to the Ottawa Senators. Forward Clarke MacArthur (concussion) will likely travel with the team on their upcoming three-game Western Canada road trip. He suffered the concussion when rookie defenceman Patrick Sieloff him into the boards during a preseason practice. MacArthur, 31, had concussion issues last season as well and only managed to play in four contests.
