Toronto Maple Leafs

Forwards James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak both missed the morning skate this morning ahead of their game Monday night versus the Bruins. And as such, there were significant changes among the Leafs' lines during the session. This was the third straight practice that van Riemsdyk has missed, but head coach Mike Babcock expects him to play Monday.

Boston Bruins

Forward Patrice Bergeron took a maintenance day on Sunday and did not practice. Initially, it was unclear if Bergeron would be ready to go against the Maple Leafs on Monday, but it appears that he will in fact be in the lineup.

Forward David Backes missed Monday's morning skate, but head coach Bruce Cassidy still expects him to play.

Goalie Tuukka Rask will get the start in net against the Leafs, and it appears that he'll also get the call when the Bruins return to Boston Tuesday night for the second half of their back-to-back.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks have announced that Goalie Jacob Markstrom has food poisoning and won't travel with the team to Chicago for their game against the Chicago Blackhawks Tuesday night, but he may join his club at some point during their upcoming four-game road trip that begins in Chicago. The team also said that forwards Brendan Gaunce and Loui Eriksson will not travel period with the team during this stretch.

Dallas Stars

Forward Jamie Benn (eye) is expected back in the lineup Monday night against the San Jose Sharks. Been did not play in Friday's loss to the Calgary Flames after he took a glove to the eye in a win over the Canucks last Thursday.

Forward Jason Spezza (back) did not participate in morning skate and continues to appear doubtful versus the Sharks.

Goalie Kari Lehtonen is likely to be in net Monday night.

Arizona Coyotes

Head coach Dave Tippett does not expect forward Shane Doan (lower body) to play on Monday against the Nashville Predators. Doan was injured in Thursday's loss to the Detroit Red Wings, and did not play in Saturday’s loss to the St. Louis Blues. - The Arizona Republic

Columbus Blue Jackets

Forward Alexander Wennberg (head, neck) was held out Sunday's win over the New Jersey Devils. Wennberg, said he feeling "OK", after being slammed headfirst into the boards by Islanders forward Ryan Strome on Saturday, but Blue Jackets' general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said his forward will be examined Monday in Columbus. It is not known if Wennberg passed or failed the NHL's concussion protocol. - The Columbus Dispatch

Detroit Red Wings

Forward Darren Helm (lower body) is questionable for Monday night versus the Buffalo Sabres. - Detroit Free Press

Forward Tomas Nosek will be in the lineup Monday; it will be his first appearance this season.

Forward Mitch Callahan (shoulder injury) will not play on Monday.

Head coach Jeff Blashill said that forward Darren Helm is day-to-day, making him unlikely to suit up against the Sabres or against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday as well, but there is apparently a chance that he could return Friday versus the Tampa Bay Lightning.

San Jose Sharks

Head coach Peter DeBoer said that forward Jannik Hansen (upper body) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Dallas Stars.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres have recalled defenceman Casey Nelson and Brady Austin from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
