Pittsburgh Penguins

Head coach Mike Sullivan informed the media following Tuesday night's win over the Buffalo Sabres that forward Jake Guentzel had been diagnosed with a concussion after tooking a crushing hit from Sabres defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen in the first period.


Toronto Maple Leafs

It appears that forward Eric Fehr will sub in for Nikita Soshnikov, who may have injured himself in Monday's win over the Boston Bruins. Toronto acquired Fehr from the Pittsburgh Penguins on trade deadline day, but he has yet to play for his his new club.

Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens host the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night, here are Montreal's lines from Wednesday's morning skate:

Head coach Claude Julien has moved forward Alex Galchenyuk from centre to left wing.

Julien has not yet decided who his starting netminder will be versus the Hurricanes. The coach says that goalie Carey Price was not 100 per cent healthy at morning skate.


Winnipeg Jets

Forward  Brandon Tanev has been called up from the Manitoba Moose (AHL)


Edmonton Oilers

Forward Anton Slepyshev is expected to replace Matt Hendricks in the lineup on Wednesday when the Oilers visit the Anaheim Ducks. 


Dallas Stars

Forward Jason Spezza (back) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Spezza did not play versus the San Jose Sharks on Monday. 


New York Islanders

Forward Josh Bailey missed practice on Tuesday, but is expected to be good to go against the New York Rangers Wednesday night. - Long Island Newsday
