It appears captain Nick Foligno, who was activated from the injured reserve on Wednesday after missing four games with a knee injury, is scheduled to return to the lineup Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings. Rookie winger Zach Aston-Reese is out "longer term" after suffering an upper-body injury during practice on Monday, according to head coach Mike Sullivan. The 23-year-old missed Wednesday’s practice with the injury. He has four goals and two assists over 10 games this season. - Trib Live


Ottawa Senators

Defenceman Mark Borowiecki was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Washington Capitals after getting into a fight with Tom Wilson. According to head coach Guy Boucher, the move to take him out was just a precaution due to the fact Borowiecki has a history of concussions. “It’s a neck thing and we just didn't want to take a chance. It’s not a concussion, but we just want to make sure, with the history this year, that it’s not something that’s reoccurring. We just want to be cautious on that one," Boucher said. “He wanted to come back. It was us saying, ‘Let’s on hold on here.’ ” - Ottawa Citizen
