Forward Frank Vatrano is ready to return from an upper-body injury and may be in the lineup on Wednesday against Detroit. - Boston Herald

Defenceman Kevan Miller (upper body) isn't expected to play Wednesday at Detroit. He's not going to play on Boston's road trip and is projected to be re-evaluated when the team returns home. - Boston Herald

Forward David Pastrnak (foot) requires more time to recover after his latest CT scan. Pastrnak has been sidelined since Oct. 31 because of a non-displaced fracture in his foot. - Boston Herald

Mark Pysyk (lower body) took part in Monday's morning skate and appears to be closer to returning to the lineup.- Buffalo News

 

CAROLINA HURRICANES

General Manager and Executive Vice President Ron Francis announced Tuesday that Nathan Gerbe (lower-body) was placed on injured reserve and is expected to miss four to six weeks. 

 

FLORIDA PANTHERS

Al Montoya was tested for a possible concussion after he left Monday's game. He exited at 11:22 of the first period after taking a hit to the shoulder and head by the Kings' Nick Shore while diving to cover the puck. -  Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel

 

MONTREAL CANADIENS

Forward Torrey Mitchell (lower body) will be out for another 7-10 days. He suffered the injury on Nov. 19 vs Arizona. – TSN

Roman Polak also sat out practice Tuesday. Polak took a Torey Krug shot to the right foot on Monday. Babcock said he couldn't get his skate into the boot this morning. Leafs don't play again until Saturday so unclear whether he'll be available or not at this point. - TSN

One further note on Reimer. He's started 11 games this month (and three in the past four nights), his most personally since April 2013. - TSN
