Ice Chips: Krejci leaves practice with UBI

Boston Bruins

However, Boston Globe reporter Fluto Shinzawa says Krejci should be able to play on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators.
Haggerty also reports that goaltender Tuukka Rask was the first player on the ice in the morning skate. Rask was a full participant in practice and "looks to be feeling better". The 30-year-old was listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury and didn't travel with the team on Saturday to Brooklyn when the team beat the New York Islanders 2-1.
According Shinzawa, Rask said he feels ready to play on Tuesday against the Predators.
Haggerty also reports that the Boston chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association has named defenceman Zdeno Chara their candidate for the Masterton Trophy for perseverance and dedication to hockey.
Pittsburgh Penguins
According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette beat writer Dave Molinari is reporting that the Penguins have signed Union College defenceman Jeff Taylor to a two-year, entry-level contract. The 22-year-old will report to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL on an amateur tryout contract and his entry-level deal will kick in next season.
Forward Connor Sheary is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury sustained in the first period of Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, head coach Mike Sullivan said after Sunday's game.
Sheary was injured blocking a shot and logged just 3:56 of ice time before exiting.
Sheary joins a long list of ailing Penguins, which includes Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Jake Guentzel, Carl Hagelin, Ron Hainsey, Olli Maata, Trevor Daley and Tom Sestito.
Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been named the team's Masterton Trophy nominee for the 2016-17 season.
Vancouver Canucks
Defenceman Troy Stecher left Sunday's loss to the Winnipeg Jets in the first period with an upper-body injury and did not return. Head coach Willie Desjardins suggested post-game that it could be a serious injury for the 22-year-old.
Stetcher owns three goals and 21 assists in 65 games this season.
