The 32-year-old has been out since Feb. 25 due to a foot fracture sustained one day earlier against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Bruins shared a video of Bergeron working on his skating Monday morning.

He then stayed on the ice and joined his teammates for practice, taking some line rushes. Afterwards, head coach Bruce Cassidy announced Bergeron remains day-to-day and will not play Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, or Wednesday against the St. Louis Blues. Cassidy said defenceman Zdeno Chara is also day-to-day and he too will miss both Monday's and Wednesday's games.

Bergeron has 27 goals and 54 points in 55 games with the Bruins this season.

Recent roster add Ryan Donato was at his first practice on Monday, skating on the team's third line with fellow Olympian Brian Gionta and Noel Acciari. Donato signed an entry-level contract with the Bruins on Sunday. He, along with Gionta, represented Team USA at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. He also led Harvard in scoring during the 2017-18 season with 26 goals and 17 assists as well as a plus-15 rating in 29 games.

The 21-year-old was named NCAA Ivy League Player of the Year in 2016-17 after leading his school to an ECAC Championship and into the Frozen Four.
