Ottawa Senators 

The Ottawa Senators have sent centre Colin White to the AHL's Belleville Senators and brought up winger Max McCormick, the team announced Friday. 

They also announced that they have activated centre Gabriel Dumont from the injured reserve list. He has been out since late January with an undisclosed injury. 

In 15 games so far this season, White has two goals and one assist, while McCormick has one goal and one assist in six games. 

The Sens will be back in action Saturday afternoon at home against the New York Rangers. 


Toronto Maple Leafs 

Leafs defenceman Jake Gardiner was absent from practice on Friday, two days after exiting the team's win over the Columbus Blue Jackets with a lower-body injury.

Winnipeg Jets

Goalie Connor Hellebuyck and defenceman Dustin Byfuglien did not skate Friday morning, but both will play Friday night against the Colorado Avalanche.

Dallas Stars

Forward Antoine Roussel, still recovering from a back injury, is not ready to play and will miss Friday's game against the St. Louis Blues, the Stars announced.

Gemel Smith will play for the Stars Friday with Jason Dickinson and Julius Honka the expected scratches.


Florida Panthers

Roberto Luongo will make his return from a lower-body injury Saturday against the Calgary Flames. Luongo has been out since early December, was activated off injured reserve earlier this week. He served as James Reimer's backup in the team's win over the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday.

The 38-year-old Luongo was having an impressive season before his injury, compiling a 6-6-1 record with a .928 save percentage and 2.62 goals-against average.


New York Rangers

Defenceman Marc Staal took part in Rangers' practice Friday. The veteran defenceman has been out since early February with a lower-body injury. Kevin Hayes was given practice off for maintenance while Alexander Georgiev was out with the flu.

Vinni Lettieri was assigned to the Rangers' AHL affiliate the Hartford Wolf Pack.


Pittsburgh Penguins

Forward Patric Hornqvist skated on his own ahead of the team's Friday practice.

Hornqvist has been battling a lower-body injury.


St. Louis Blues

Newly acquired forward Nikita Soshnikov (lower-body) is expected to join the Blues in seven to 10 days once he attains a U.S. work visa and is cleared by team doctors according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch

He arrived in St. Louis on Thursday in a trade with the Maple Leafs in exchange for a fourth-round pick. 

He has out since Dec. 12 with a lower-body injury and was on a conditioning stint in the AHL at the time of the trade.
