Montreal Canadiens

Head coach Claude Julien said defenceman Shea Weber will not play Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

It will be the fourth game in a row Weber has missed with a lower-body injury.

In 20 games so far this season, the 32-year-old has four goals and nine assists.

Vancouver Canucks

According to the Vancouver Sun, head coach Travis Green provided a timeline for defenceman Erik Gudbranson after the veteran defenceman appeared to hurt his shoulder Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, saying he could be out a couple of weeks. According to TSN's Farhan Lalji, Gudbranson is staying with the team on the road.

The 25-year-old is pointless in 21 games for the Canucks this season, his second in Vancouver.

In other injury news, Green classified Brandon Sutter, who missed the team's loss to the New York Rangers Sunday after taking a hard hit Friday, is more day-to-day than week-to-week. Lalji says Sutter is flying back to Vancouver to rehab.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets recalled goaltender Eric Comrie from the AHL on Monday. Goaltender Steve Mason suffered a concussion, according to head coach Paul Maurice, and was placed on IR by the team Monday. Head coach Paul Maurice confirmed Monday Mason was diagnosed with a concussion.

Comrie will now serve as backup to Michael Hutchison. The Jets host the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.

He has not played in two weeks.

Chicago Blackhawks

Starter Corey Crawford will get the nod Monday night against the Anaheim Ducks, but Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville said backup Anton Forsberg will see some action during the team's upcoming busy week.

In 19 games this season Crawford has a 10-7-1 record with a .935 save percentage and 2.16 goals-against average.

Forsberg, meanwhile, has a .904 save percentage and 3.81 goals-against average in six games (1-1-2).

Florida Panthers

The team recalled centre Denis Malgin from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL.

Malgin started the season with the Panthers, going pointless in five games. He had four goals and 10 assists in 13 games for the Thunderbirds. Malgin could be a replacement candidate for right winger Evgenii Dadonov, who injured his shoulder Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks. Head coach Bob Boughner told the Sun Sentinel he expects Dadonov's injury to “be something a little longer than shorter” and added that he hopes it's weeks, not months.

Dadonov is part of the team's top line, and has seven goals and 11 assists in 22 games for the Panthers this season, his first since returning from the KHL.

Minnesota Wild

With defenceman Jared Spurgeon a game-time decision Monday against the Winnipeg Jets due to an illness, the Wild have recalled Ryan Murphy from the Iowa Wild of the AHL Monday.

The 12th overall pick of the 2012 draft, Murphy has a goal and 10 assists in 18 games for the Iowa Wild. Backup Alex Stalock will be between the pipes for the Wild Monday against the Jets. - Star Tribune

Jones was injured during the Sharks' last game, a 4-0 shutout victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
