VANCOUVER CANUCKS

Northeastern's Adam Gaudette has decided to turn pro with the Vancouver Canucks following his 30-goal, 60-point season.

Gaudette signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Monday and the team said he will make his debut this week.

“Adam has had a remarkable season and college career playing at Northeastern,” general manager Jim Benning said in a release. “He’s a very talented player and has shown an ability to score, make plays and contribute in all situations at the collegiate level. We’re excited to have him join our team and continue his development as a professional.”

Gaudette led the entire NCAA in scoring and is considered the favourite for the Hobey Baker Award. He has already been named the 2018 Hockey East Player of the Year.


BUFFALO SABRES

Casey Mittelstadt has signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the Buffalo Sabres.  He is expected to join their NHL roster this week. 

The 19-year-old is expected to sign his contract tomorrow and join the roster immediately after that.  He could also be a consideration for Team USA at the World Championship

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos will miss Monday's game against the Arizona Coyotes and is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.  The 28-year-old has appeared in 75 games this season and has 27 goals and 59 assists with a plus-22 rating.

MINNESOTA WILD

The Minnestoa Wild have signed forward Jordan Greenway to a three-year, entry-level contract.  The 21-year-old scored 35 points this season for Boston University as they won the 2018 Hockey East Tournament.  Greenway also had a goal and 10 penalty minutes as a member of Team USA at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

 Greenway was selected in the second round, 50th overall of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and his contract will begin immediately, for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.
