PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Patrice Cormier scored the first of three in the third period for the St. John's IceCaps as they rallied past the Providence Bruins 3-2 on Sunday in American Hockey League action.

Brenden Kichton and Julien Brouillette also had goals in the period for St. John's (30-28-9), the affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets.

Cory Kane and Colin Stuart found the back of the net in the second for the Bruins (35-22-9), Boston's farm club.

Connor Hellebuyck turned aside 32 shots in goal for the win. Malcolm Subban made 29 saves for Providence.

The IceCaps failed to score on two power plays while the Bruins went 0 for 1.
