The Columbus Blue Jackets have lost David Clarkson for 4-6 weeks with a torn oblique muscle that he suffered on Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals.

With the Blue Jackets unlikely to make the playoffs that means Clarkson is probably lost for the season.

Columbus acquired the forward from the Toronto Maple Leafs last week in a one-for-one deal for injured forward Nathan Horton.

Clarkson was held without a point in three appearances for the Blue Jackets. He has 10 goals and five assists in 58 games this season with Toronto and Columbus.
