The Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder Ezequiel Carrera from the disabled list Tuesday afternoon.

The 29-year-out has been out since Aug. 1 with a strained left Achilles.

Carrera is hitting .258 with four home runs and 15 RBIs over 75 games with the Jays in 2016, his second in Toronto.

To make room for Carrera, the Blue Jays designated Junior Lake for assignment. Lake, 26, is hitting .200 with a home run and a couple RBIs over 22 games this season.

Toronto still has outfielders Jose Bautista (sprained left knee) and Kevin Pillar (sprained left thumb) on the DL.
