Marco Estrada has been reinstated from the 15-day disabled list in time to start Friday against the Seattle Mariners.

The Blue Jays announced the starting pitcher, along with reliever Franklin Morales were added to the roster Friday. Reliever Aaron Loup and utility infielder Andy Burns were optioned to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons to make room.

Estrada will be pitching to backup Josh Thole after Russell Martin twisted his knee slipping in the shower. With RA Dickey pitching Saturday, Martin will get two days off and is expected back in the lineup Sunday.

Estrada had a superb first half that saw him get named to the American League All-Star team. He missed his last start of the first half and the All-Star Game after being placed on the DL with back pain. Estrada carries a 5-3 record with a 2.93 ERA into Friday's start.

Morales pitched in just two games for the Blue Jays at the start of the year before going down with shoulder fatigue.

Loup has appeared in 10 games for the Jays this season with a 6.00 ERA while Burns has no hits in seven plate appearances for the Jays.
