The Toronto Blue Jays open a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards on Monday, the first three of 15 consecutive games they will play against American League East competition.

Following this three game set, they will travel to Tampa Bay and New York before returning to Toronto to host the Red Sox and Rays.

With the Jays currently holding the division lead and the Red Sox and Orioles sitting in the Wild Card positions, this three week stretch will go a long way towards deciding who books their place for the postseason.

The Jays enter the stretch with a 29-22 record in the division, best of the five AL East teams.

(Jays record vs. team in 2016)

Baltimore Orioles – (7-6)

@ Orioles Aug 29-31

The teams last met for three games from July 29 to July 31 in Toronto, where the Blue Jays took two of three games.  Following this late August tilt, the teams will meet up one more time from September 27 to September 29th in Toronto.

Tampa Bay Rays – (6-7)

@ Rays Sept. 2-4
vs. Rays Sept. 12-14

The only AL East team that has a winning record against the Jays this season will be looking to play spoilers as they will both host and visit Toronto during this stretch.  The Rays are last in the division and their hopes of making the playoffs have long past.

New York Yankees – (9-3)

@Yankees Sept. 5-7

The New York Yankees are hanging on the outskirts of the playoff race and three games against the division leaders could decide if they contend or play spoilers down the stretch.  The teams will meet again in Toronto for four games: September 23-26.

Boston Red Sox - (7-6)

vs. Red Sox Sept. 9-11

With David Price heating up, the Boston Red Sox could be the most dangerous team on the Blue Jays tail as the calendar flips to September.  After the teams meet for this weekend series in Toronto, they will finish the regular season against each other from September 30-October 2 and could very well be deciding the playoff fates of both teams.
