Winnipeg Jets defenceman Jacob Trouba has returned from injured reserve while forward Mathieu Perreault has been placed on IR, head coach Paul Maurice announced after practice on Wednesday.

Perreault was injured on January 16th in a game against the Chicago Blackhawks when Daniel Carcillo cross-checked him, forcing him out of the game with an upper-body injury.

Carcillo was suspended six games for the incident.

In 45 games this season, the 27-year-old centre has 15 goals and 14 assists, along with a plus-3 rating.

Trouba has been out since mid-December with an upper-body injury suspected to involve his wrist.

The 20-year-old blueliner has played in 31 games this season and posted four goals and eight assists.
