FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — New York Jets rookie wide receiver ArDarius Stewart is recovering from recent operations on a thumb and his groin.

The third-round draft pick out of Alabama had the injuries before joining the Jets, coach Todd Bowles said. Although Stewart participated in rookie minicamp last month, he needed to have the procedures during the past two weeks.

Bowles says Wednesday that Stewart should be "good to go" for the start of training camp in late July.

Fellow rookie receiver Chad Hansen, a fourth-rounder from California, hurt a knee Tuesday and didn't participate in practice Wednesday. Bowles says only that the knee is sore and it's not a serious injury.
