FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - It appears Eric Decker will be back on the field against the Detroit Lions.

The New York Jets wide receiver, recovering from tightness in his right hamstring, is expected to play Sunday despite being listed as questionable on the team's injury report Friday.

"I would say I'm ready to go Sunday," Decker said. "So I'll be out there."

Decker was limited at practice after sitting out team drills the previous two days. He was limited last Monday night by the injury, catching just one pass for 19 yards against Chicago before leaving the game.

Coach Rex Ryan said he's optimistic about Decker's chances, although he acknowledged that his snaps limited a little bit against Detroit.

"But he feels better now than he did last week," Ryan said. "Much better."

Decker is aware of the balance he needs to have in making a decision to play while weighing it against making sure he doesn't further injure himself. He first got hurt in training camp, and then aggravated it two weeks ago at Green Bay.

"I don't see it setting me back," he said. "Again, I understand my body and what I need to do to at least be a help on this team."

Cornerback Dee Milliner is doubtful with a quadriceps injury that sidelined him against the Bears.

"Well, he never practiced," Ryan said. "I'll be surprised if he plays."

That would be the second straight game Milliner will miss, and third overall this season. He missed most of training camp and the season opener with a high ankle sprain.

His absence has created opportunities for converted safety Antonio Allen and Darrin Walls, who had primarily been a backup during his career. That could change, though, especially since Ryan think he has played "extremely well" and added that there's "absolutely no question" Wells could earn a regular starting job.

"He's going to be hard to move out of there," Ryan said.

Centre Nick Mangold (shoulder), defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson (knee), right guard Willie Colon (calf), running back Chris Johnson (ankle) and backup centre Dalton Freeman (knee) are all probable and expected to play.

Wide receiver David Nelson fully practiced after missing two days with a food poisoning.
