ORLANDO, Fla. — Kaka scored on a penalty kick in the 10th minute of stoppage time to give Orlando City a 3-2 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night.

Julio Baptista drew the foul, going to the turf after battling with Toronto's Drew Moor for a diagonal cross into the middle of the area.

"It's tough, with the effort and the way we fought and to get nothing out of the game it's a hard pill to swallow," said Moor. "I haven't seen a replay of (the foul) so I can't say much about it but in the run of play I thought it was a soft call."

"It was not cool, it was hot, guys were cramping and a number of things went on during that game so first and foremost congrats to (Orlando City), said Toronto coach Greg Vanney. "I'm not here to debate whether or not the last one was a PK or not. It was a hard fought battle and with the guys leaving everything out there it hurts to finish like that."

Orlando City (4-3-8) took a one-goal lead each time it scored — first on Canadian Cyle Larin's eighth goal of the season in the fifth minute and again when Adrian Winter's header made it 2-1 in the 83rd minute.

Toronto goalkeeper Clint Irwin left with a leg injury in the 70th minute and was replaced by Alex Bono, who was making his first career MLS appearance. Irwin had played every minute this season prior to injury.

"I don't know how long it's going to take, initially it seems like a quad injury of some sort, the turf is pretty slippery underneath it all and I think he went to hit and maybe slipped or something as he struck the ball and got himself into an awkward position," said Vanney. "So I don't have the all the details and I'm sure it's going to take an assessment after things calm down and we'll see where he's at."

"I thought I did alright, it was my first time and it's an honour and a great opportunity until Clint gets back but it's my chance to prove that I belong on this team, in this system, and in this league," said Bono.

Jordan Hamilton tied it 1-1 in the 47th minute with a left-footed shot that finished Jonathan Osorio's side-footed flick. Justin Morrow smashed home Sebastian Giovinco's cross to tie it again in the 90th minute.

"When (Morrow scored) we all thought about the same thing, everyone on the field and stadium hoping not to tie again. I think our willingness to win carried us to our victory," said Orlando City goalkeeper Joe Bendik, who played for TFC last season.

Toronto dropped to 5-6-4.
