ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Joe Resetarits scored four times and Cody Jamieson had two goals and seven assists as the Rochester Knighthawks downed the Buffalo Bandits 14-11 on Friday in the National Lacrosse League East Division semifinal.

Rochester will now face the Toronto Rock in a best-of-three series for the East title.

"We did a great job," said Resetarits. "When they went on their runs, we matched them right away. We did a great job at matching their intensity. We knew it was going to be a great game."

Cory Vitarelli and Jordan Hall each added a hat trick for the Knighthawks while Dan Dawson tacked on a goal and five helpers. Stephen Keogh rounded out the scoring with a goal and an assist.

Dhane Smith led the Bandits with three goals and four assists. Ryan Benesch had two goals and four helpers, Chad Culp and Alexander-Kedoh Hill each had a pair of goals, Mark Steenhuis scored once and set up four more while Nick Weiss tacked on a single goal.

"That's playoff lacrosse there. You've got to put it all on the line there," Knighthawks defenseman Sid Smith said. "It's win or go home so you don't want to regret not doing everything you could to help the team win."

Rochester's Matt Vinc made 44 saves for the win as Buffalo's Anthony Cosmo stopped 41-of-55 shots in defeat.

The Knighthawks went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Bandits scored three times on five chances with the man advantage.

Game 1 of the East Division final goes Saturday, May 16 in Rochester. The series heads to Toronto for Game 2 and Game 3, if needed.

The Rock finished the regular season as the top team in the East while the Knighthawks entered the post-season as the second seed.
