The Orlando Titans will not participate in the upcoming NLL season as they deal with ownership issues.
Titans majority owner Gary Rosenbach and team officials have already begun the ownership restructuring process and are actively looking for minority investors from the Orlando and Tampa area to help keep the team in the city.
"After much deliberation and careful analysis we felt that it was in the best interest of everyone involved to take a year off and come back in 2012 with a more financially fit and competitive franchise," said Rosenbach. "It is pretty simple, in order for us to field a winning organization on the field, we need to refocus our efforts on rebuilding the business side of our house."
The Titans moved from New York to Orlando last season.
In a related note, NLL Commissioner George Daniel has voided the contracts of former Titans' Pat Maddalena and Patrick Merrill, who are now unrestricted free agents.
Maddalena and Merrill, along with Casey Powell, Jordan Hall, Matt Vinc and Rory Smith filed claims potentially seeking free agency but the Commissioner has denied the claims of the other four players.
