OTTAWA, Ont. -- Gary Gait will join Canada's men's lacrosse team as an assistant coach for the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in 2014.
Gait will work under head coach Randy Mearns and alongside assistants Jeff Gombar and Matt Brown.
Gait played in the four world championships during his career and coached the men's under-19 field team in 2003 and 2008.
He is currently the head coach of Syracuse University's women's field team, with whom he has been named the Big East coach of the year for the past two seasons.
