Greer's five-point night leads Rush past Knighthawks

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Zack Greer had four goals and an assist to lead the Edmonton Rush past the Rochester Knighthawks 11-9 on Saturday in National Lacrosse League action.

Mark Matthews had a hat trick and two assists for Edmonton (6-5), while Ryan Ward struck twice and set up four goals. Corey Small scored and added three assists, while Curtis Knight had a single. Aaron Bold made 24 saves for the win.

Cody Jamieson led Rochester (4-6) with two goals and five assists. Dan Dawson had a pair of goals and three assists, while Mike Accursi, Johnny Powless, Joel McCready, Joe Walters and Cory Vitarelli also scored. Matt Vinc stopped 36 shots for the Knighthawks.

Both teams excelled on the power play. The Rush went 2 for 2 with the man advantage, while Rochester was 3 for 3.
