Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Yasiel Puig finished 3-for-5 with an RBI and run scored, as Los Angeles used a late rally to overcome Chicago, 8-4, in the opener of a four-game set from Wrigley Field.

Dee Gordon added two hits, scored once and drove in a run for the Dodgers, who snapped a two-game slide and lead idle San Francisco by two games in the NL West.

Matt Kemp, Juan Uribe, A.J. Ellis, Andre Ethier and Justin Turner were also credited with an RBI apiece in the triumph. Paco Rodriguez (1-0) tossed a scoreless sixth inning to snag the win.

Jorge Soler picked up a pair of hits and knocked in two for the Cubs, who were coming off a sweep of the Cincinnati Reds. Luis Valbuena and Mike Olt added an RBI apiece, with Javier Baez adding two hits and two runs scored.

Neil Ramirez (2-3) was charged with all five runs -- though only one was earned -- and recorded just two outs in the seventh inning which propelled the visitors to victory.
