Brock Lesnar failed an in-competition drug test taken on July 9, in addition to the original out-of-competition test he had previously been flagged for, the UFC announced on Tuesday.

According to a release from the promotion, the substance is the same from both tests.

The statement indicates that USADA will handle the “results management and appropriate adjudication of the case”

Lesnar returned from a five-year absence from the Octagon to defeat Mark Hunt in the co-main event of UFC 200.

A few days after the unanimous decision victory, he was informed by USADA of a potential drug violation stemming from an out-of-competition test.

USADA also confirmed that Lesnar passed several tests before the first failure.
