Tampa, FL - Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Jason Garrison is expected to be sidelined for the next 3-to-4 weeks because of an upper body injury.

Garrison was hurt early in the first period during Saturday's game against Detroit. He took a hit from behind by Justin Abdelkader, who was given a minor penalty for boarding.

The 30-year-old blueliner has four goals and 26 assists for 30 points in 70 games this season. He also leads all Tampa Bay defensemen with a plus-27 rating.

Defenseman Andrej Sustr is also expected to be sidelined for at least a week with an upper body injury. He has 13 assists in 72 games this season.

The Lightning also said center Tyler Johnson is day-to-day with an upper body injury. Johnson is tied for the team lead with 41 assists and 67 points in 74 games this season.

Tampa Bay recalled defenseman Luke Witkowski and forward Jonathan Marchessault from Syracuse of the American Hockey League on Monday.
